Accurate to a fault and visible across a very large room, this giant digital clock refreshes and resets the exact time each night and is 16-1/2" wide x 10-1/2" tall x just 1-3/4" thick, with a clean, brushed-aluminum-look plastic frame. Displays time (digital LCD h/m/s, with h/m being 4" tall), time zone (select any of 6 North American zones), indoor temperature, day and date. It has 12- or 24-hour settings, choice of C or F temps, and mounts on a wall or sits on a built-in stand. Runs on (3) "C" batteries that come with it.

First, I've bought about 12 smaller Atomic clocks over the years and usually end up giving them to friends.My biggest question about this clock was does it have a Wave button to force it to look for a signal, and the picture everyone uses to advertise this clock makes it appear to have a backlight. It does have a Wave button (see my pictures of the backside controls), and it is not backlighted (see my picture of the giant and normal clocks with a $10 bill for scale). I first bought a smaller clock from Amazon model "La Crosse Technology WS-811561-W atomic digital wall clock with solar-powered sensor" but it was missing Wave buttons for the time and temperature, and the solar-powered thermometer didn't take batteries and was poorly documented in the manual -- it just felt cheap compared to other clocks I've owned. (Misc.) Great digital clock. Just purchased my second one. First one is in the office at work the second will be for our warehouse. The large digital numbers are easily readable from across any large room or warehouse. Very accurate as it updates itself nightly. We have issues at work punching in and out on time as most of our clocks are set at different times. Not anymore. I am even thinking of getting one for my elderly mother to use at home. (Misc.) I ordered two of these clocks for work. Both units arrived well sealed and in good condition. No complaints there. They are made of plastic, but I expected that. As far as visibility, that's as described as well - not back lit, which can be good or bad depending on your needs. The clocks, however, do not sync up to retreive the time. I've tried to push the wave button (per the instructions) as well as just let them sync automatically - no luck on either clock. Also, one of the two clocks keeps the "low battery" indicator on even though fresh batteries are in the unit. Just not sure about these clocks... |
