This review is from: Custom Accessories CU072100 Large Lighted Readout Clock (Misc.) This clock is exactly what I was looking for. I have an old 1966 truck that I wanted to put a clock in. I have been to many auto parts stores looking for an easy to read clock that had a large display. I also wanted it to have background lighting so I could read it at night. I had no luck at all finding was I was looking for until I found this clock on amazon. This clock is perfect for my needs. It is easy to program and the display is nice and large. It is easy to read from all angles in the cab of the truck. Reading it in the dark is easy too. You do have to momentarily push the top right button to make the back-light come on. If it was back lit all the time I'm sure the battery life would be pretty short. It does come with strips of velcro and screws for installation. I just glued a small magnet on the battery cover and stuck it to the dash. A lot of older vehicles have metal dashboards. I must say that I can't quite understand the folks who didn't like this clock. The case is 3 1/2 inches long by about 1 3/4 inches high,......and the display numerals are almost a FULL INCH tall. It's easy to set, and can mount with the provided tape or screws. You simply touch the right side and the blue light illuminates the dial perfectly. The black case is nice looking too. Keeps perfect time also. The display numbers are huge,...... and can be read from across the room. Highly recommended. This clock is perfect at keeping time...I've had it several weeks now. However, it is NOT easy to read at every angle. I have a mini van and my clock went bad and it would cost a lot of money to fix, so I installed this little sucker. Keep in mind if you are in a truck/van, your clock is lower than eye level, and I cannot see this little thing. The light is perfect...you must buy one with a light if you are installing it in a car. I left it in the van, however, it's simply not functional for me. Do not get this if you need to see it lower than eye level. The dual alarms are convenient; one time for M-F and another for weekends without having to manually change the setting every week. I know the time is always accurate - I can rest secure even if there's a power failure that I will get up on time. It's compact size doesn't take up too much room on the night stand. The red ceiling projection light is soft and non-disturbing, yet it does the job. The radio is just a convenient plus and use it to listen to weather forecasts. My one complaint is that the display light for the front of the clock is too bright, even in its 'dim' setting. It lights up my entire night stand - like having a 'night-light' plugged in. It's a bother on sleepless nights. When you turn it away from you, the ceiling projection is sideways. The radio is a nice feature but the speakers just don't quite cut it. Too much over-all distortion in the sound quality. The clock works well, and seems to maintain good time. Easy too use buttons and nice alarm features like M-F one time set. Two seperate alarms and the Clock does project very well plus the ability to flip your projection display 180 degrees. The one feature that needs improvement is the display light on the unit itself. It is so bright even in the dim mode that it lights up the room. So if you prefer to sleep in the dark you might want to think about this one feature. On the bright side I purchased this clock from Amazon and all was handled very well. Easy to purchase and delivery was as notified. It has two alarms and can be set to radio, beeps or songs and has an adjustable snooze setting. The built in radio works well and there's a sleep setting so that if you like to fall asleep to the radio you can have it automatically shut off after a certain amount of time. It has an adjustable brightness level, but I found its default/highest level to be suitable. At that level it's bright enough to see in the dark, but not bright enough to keep me up. The alarm is easy to wake up to and gradually gets louder on the beep setting. It automatically set itself to the correct time and date as soon as I plugged it in, all I had to do is set the time zone. It has a DST feature that can be turned off or on. The only feature lacking is the ability to customize the alarm for either weekdays, weekends or both. It's not a big deal, especially with two alarms but it would... Pros: inexpensive, preset time, dst auto adjust, battery backup for power failure, easy to tune radio stations, easy to read display, brightness of display is adjustable. Cons: Alarm "A" can be set to chime or radio, Alarm "B" can only be set to chime or an electronic tune. Both alarms cannot be set to the radio. Cannot adjust or view the alarm setpoint unless the alarm is turned on, so when you pass the current time the alarm activates. Radio sound is poor but in line with the price of the alarm clock. The snooze can increased from 10 min to 20 min to 30 min etc, but if you hit the snooze button twice while initially silencing the alarm, you go straight to the 20 min snooze. Overall: a good alarm clock for the price but I would have paid more for a full featured clock radio had I know its limitations up front. If you want a dual alarm clock radio similar to those from 10 years ago, that is exactly what you will get and that is why I ordered it. Nothing fancy, just basic but with the Sony dependability. There are a few nice things though - the time is preset, options for the dual alarms sound, adjustable brightness, battery backup, very easy to operate and the AM radio actually works well, unlike other clock radios.
